2011 Newark Naz Staff Christmas Party
This year, my wife volunteered to take the load off of our lead pastor and his wife for the staff Christmas party. They lined up the catering, but she did all the decorating and lined up some live music for us as well. I think that was our lead pastor’s favorite part, since he is such a big bluegrass fan. We had a total of 24 people to seat, but we didn’t want to separate into multiple round tables. The end result resembled a huge family dinner table. She used greenery from a local tree farm, a rustic wooden planter’s box, some hurricane glasses with dried orange slices and cranberries in them as well as pine cones and some standard Christmas lights. We pieced together six paper lanterns (my main contribution) from the party store with candelabra replacement cords from Lowe’s. Having dedicated lighting helped to really separate the seating area from the rest of the room.
It was so great for me to be able to help my wife do such great work. She was blessed by the opportunity to serve our staff. We had a great evening.

Here’s another great song by Kristian Stanfill. God speaks to us when we take time to listen.

Forever Reign
We did this song last Sunday. Here’s the original. Hope you can worship along with it today.
Update: I didn’t realize that it wouldn’t let me embed the video. Head on over to YouTube and check it out :)
Well, I’ve been wanting to do some recording for a long time now, and I just can’t seem to get around to it. A friend of mine was kind enough to record one of our recent worship concerts, so I thought I’d share our best cut from the night for all you loyal fans…

Here’s another helpful Reason > MainStage tutorial. I’ll be trying this out soon.
Mainstage 2 came to the Mac App Store today, so I’m wondering how it could work with Reason, which is what we use for soft synth work. Mainstage should be better suited for live use than Reason, which is really more for sequencing and recording.
